Have your user relations reached a deadlock? We offer sparring and coaching, both individually and in groups.
It could be in connection with difficult cases such as :
a user that we cannot quite “read”
behaviour that we do not understand
resistance (from user or collaborator)
Our approach is simple: send us five lines about the issue, and we will spend two hours together with you to inspire you and challenge you to get on.
–We also offer sparring or intervention in cases where collaborators want assistance in connection with an outreach initiative towards homeless ’recluses’.
Here is what a staff group learned from a sparring session:
“The street-based worker was really good at communicating and giving us inspiration in our daily work. We clearly felt that he took our issues seriously and also felt that he listened and did what he could to offer possible solutions. We really got a lot of good ideas to continued practice with the resident and the the most important thing is that we have got some new perspectives in the work that we do.”
(Residential social worker at group home).
Women who are exposed to violence risk becoming homeless
Homelessness is often the result of an interplay between several factors, of which violence is just one of many risk factors. Violence multiplies a woman's risk of falling into homelessness because violence typically starts a chain reaction in many other areas of life, which may lead to exclusion and homelessness. It is well documented that violence against women has important implications for women's health, housing, employment, economy and legal rights. This has been studied both in Denmark and many other countries. However, even though the problem is well documented, the conclusions of the research has not yet led to legislation or initiatives that effectively can prevent and curb violence against women.
