In June 2016, the first students will be awarded their Masters’ degree in knowledge-based social work from the University of Aalborg. The education was opened in September 2014 as a new part-time education providing qualifications in developing knowledge and quality in social work. Among other things, the educations focuses on practice-oriented research and creating quality within social work.
The students in this line carry out their studies along with their work, primarily within the fields of social housing, social vulnerable people, SSP work (cooperation between social workers, schools and police), children and young people as well as disability and psychiatry. This covers employment in the public or private sector as well as in volunteerism.
As of January, 2016 Bibi Agger, the professional leader and deputy manager of projekt UDENFOR, joins the recently established recruitment panel of the education as a two-year member. The function of the recruitment panel is to contribute to an ongoing dialogue on the quality and society bearing of the education, including the skills that the students achieve from the education.
”I welcome the invitation to participate in the recruitment panel,” says Bibi Agger, whose first meeting with the panel will be 14th January, 2016. “The recruitment panel’s role in connection with quality assuring the education is important and it is vital to contribute to the relevans of the education in correlation with the vulnerable groups of society,” Bibi Agger continues.
The recruitment panel is supposed to meet twice annually in Aalborg and Copenhagen, respectively. The panel has a total of seven members. The members come from the municipalities of Aalborg and Gladsaxe, Region Zealand, the National Board of Social Services, The Danish Association of Social Workers, and projekt UDENFOR.
